Free Walking Tour - Muizenberg
The Muizenberg Historical Conservation Society invites you to join us in Muizenberg for a stroll through 350 years of extraordinary history. Learn why we speak English here today, hear about the life and times of Cecil Rhodes, the strange death of an Indonesian slave, the first flying machines in the country, the history of surfing from its humble beginnings in Muizenberg and lots and lots of tales old and new.
The stories are quirky, funny, wry and sometimes dramatic. A great experience found nowhere else.
Each tour is unique, but the itinerary can include:
Visit Rhodes Museum, Posthuys, Millionaires Mile, Muizenberg Villiage, Shark Spotters, Victorian beach huts, Kramat of Sayed Abdul Aziz, Battle of Muizenberg Site and much, much more.
Where to meet?
Tours will be run WEDNESDAYS and SATURDAYS at 10am. We meet at the surfers tribute circle at Surfers Corner, Beach Road, Muizenberg.
